Summer Seersucker

Yesterday was the U.S. Senate's Seersucker Thursday, a tradition begun in 1996 by Trent Lott of Mississippi. We Southerners know the value of this thin cotton fabric in the heat of summer.

Wow! The things I learn! I never knew there was such a thing as Seersucker Thursday! But I definitely do agree it is the perfect fabric for this summer heat (although as I type we are having a thunder storm and lots of lovely rain!)
